Unraveling the Core Shot Repair Process:

Gouges that reveal the base or are along the edge (takes up to 24hrs).

For small core shots.

  • Inspection and Assessment: Scrutinize gouges along the edge or those revealing the base, setting the foundation for a meticulous repair.
  • Precision Extraction: Delicately remove damaged base material, exposing the true extent of the core shot.
  • P-Tex Precision: Cut and expertly fit a new P-Tex, tailored to integrate seamlessly with your snowboard or skis.
  • Epoxy Bonding: Apply specialized epoxy to repair the damage, precisely securing the P-Tex and liquid metal.
  • Clamp and Cure: Secure the repair with clamps, allowing ample time ( 24 hrs) for the epoxy to set and ensure a resilient, enduring fix.
  • Full Service: Elevate the repair with a comprehensive full service, ensuring the patch sits flush with the original base material and restoring the crucial structure for an enhanced riding experience.

Why do I need it repaired?

If left when you are riding and you hit a rock, it will catch and could rip and slowly water will go into the wood core and make the snowboard/skis a very spongy feel and lose its flex and the edge will start rusting.

VIP Full Service for Skis £42

  • Removing old wax by using the Hot Wax Clean method.
  • Repair any holes or scratches by filling them with p-tex (Full service only).
  • Take off excess p-tex leaving a flat surface (Full service only).
  • Sharpen the base edge and sharpen the Side edge.
  • Fine tuning with Diamond file.
  • De-tune all Contact points.
  • Put back Structure in the base.
  • We will choose a temperature wax for your destination.
  • Hot wax base with a waxing iron by hand.
  • Also we will put on a liquid wax helping you charge down the mountain.
  • Polish base.
  • Check the bindings is working properly (skiers please bring one of your boots).

Snowboarders if you can remove your bindings before you drop off or for pick up please. However do not worry if you cannot, we are happy to remove for you.
